Supporting Emerging College Artists
For almost 70 years the Kingsley Art Club has sponsored an annual Merit Awards program for emerging college art students. This program provides a financial award to promising art students enrolled in the Sacramento area local community colleges.
For 2022, the art faculties at American River, Folsom Lake, Sacramento City, Sierra, and Woodland colleges selected a student from their college to be honored. Many recipients have said that receiving the Kingsley Merit Award has made a difference in their lives by supporting their continued education, acknowledging their artistic efforts and exhibiting their art at the Crocker Art Museum.
2022 Merit Award Winners
Come see this exhibition, beginning May 5, in the first floor of the Crocker historic building across from TotLand. While you’re there, be sure to enjoy the juried Kingsley Inspirations High School Art Show which also hangs in the same gallery space.
