This year’s juror, Emma Saperstein, Chief Curator and Director of Education at San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA), will select the works to be displayed and the award winners who will receive the cash awards listed below.
Cash awards will be presented for the following:
1st place: $2,000
2nd place: $1,500
3rd place: $1,000
4th place: $750
5th place: $250
The Kingsley Art Club and Blue Line Art co-sponsor this exhibit which will be on display in all 4 galleries of Blue Line Arts, Roseville, CA.
In addition, the Crocker Art Museum staff will select five pieces from the show (which may or may not be award winners), for public display at the museum following the exhibit at Blue Line Arts. (See below for a listing of the dates.)
Application deadline: Online applications must be submitted by 5:00pm PST on October 14th, 2022.
Show dates: December 2nd, 2022 – January 14th, 2023
Opening Reception – Awards and Crocker Selections announced: Saturday, December 17th, 2022
5 Artists Selected for the Crocker Art Museum Will Be On Display: February 5th – April 30th, 2023

Most Recent Competition
The 80th Crocker-Kingsley Competition was shown at Blue Line Arts in Roseville from January 8th through February 20th, 2021 with Carrie Lederer as the juror. She is an Oakland based painter, sculptor and installation artist who exhibits her nature-inspired work across the United States. Prizes were awarded January 19th, 2021. Pieces chosen by Crocker Chief Curator Scott Shields were on display at the Crocker Art Museum through May 9th, 2021. The show was open to the public and received great accolades. Sales were also very strong.
