Merit Awards – College

Supporting Emerging Artists

Since 1954, the Kingsley Art Club has sponsored an annual Merit Awards scholarship to acknowledge promising art students enrolled in the Sacramento area community colleges.

In 2024, the art faculties at American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake, Sacramento City, Sierra, Woodland and Yuba colleges each selected a student and their artwork to represent their college as a Merit Award recipient. Many recipients have said that receiving the Kingsley Merit Award has made a difference in their lives by financially supporting their continued education, recognizing their artistic efforts and exhibiting their art at the Crocker Art Museum. We are delighted to honor this year’s students and encourage them to continue exploring and expanding their artistic skills and passion.

The Kingsley Art Club thanks the Crocker Art Museum for its continuing support of the Merit Art Awards.
